30 authors from Europe, Israel, Tunisia, and Syria will discuss under the motto “WritingAwayBorders” at the Academy of Arts and at the Deutsches Theater on May 9 and 10.

In five panels, the participants will focus on essential questions: What is Europe, and where does it end? What are European values, and to whom do they apply? How much of an influx can culture handle, and how much of an influx does it need? What happens when language is left behind in flight? And can Europe use words and histories to find a way out of the crisis?

Join the discussion and the Long Night of European Literature at Deutsches Theater, when Europe’s rich spectrum of languages and literatures can be experienced!
